Verizon Wireless is offering a flat $800 trade in value towards select Samsung phones including the Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, S22 ultra, S22 plus, S22, and S21 FE 5G ($700 credit as MSRP is $699.99), with select 5G unlimited plans (including the lowest tier 5G start). This applies for new lines and upgrade eligible lines. $800 credit is applied over 36 months. If switching, you are also eligible for another $200.
While many phones on VZW seem to have "get
up to $800 off with trade", these Samsung phones say simply "get $800 off with trade"
I was able to submit for $800 trade in value using some really old phones including an iPhone 6s and Galaxy S7 Edge. I am an existing customer that was upgrade eligible for multiple lines.

They provided the UPS label and it took 2 days for them to process it once received.
With the $350 credit from Samsung for the S20FE with a cracked screen, the S22 Ultra basically became a free phone.
Note: I had recently upgraded a line, but not the phone to one of the newer 5G Do More plans - then 2-3 weeks later - bought the S22 Ultra to replace that same line/phone. A week or so after that - I traded in the 7 Edge.
I do know from someone else that you don't have to upgrade all the lines on your account to get the $800 value on trade-in, just one of them - and I don't know the time-frame between upgrading and qualifying for any of those deals. It just happened to work out that way this time where there was no requirement at the time of trade-in.
Is everyone getting the $800 off and this guy is a knucklehead?
I can buy one on eBay for 90. Really?

With that said this promo is the best I've seen since they moved to 36 month installments. Plan eligibility only requires the 5G Start plan and very old phones like the iPhone 6 and Samsung S6 qualify for the highest tier trade in. In addition trade in phones can be damaged. These phones are easy to buy for less than $50 used.
The slick deal here is to double dip trade in. Buy through Samsung and pay with Verizon device installment and maximize the the 2 trade ins with Samsung for instant credit. Then trade in an older phone like the S6 for $800 bill credits over 36 months. You only need 2 months to break even and anything after that is cherry on top.
Can the phone just be unlocked. I found a iphone 6s just for parts that's got an icloud issue for $40

The offer period for low tier phones receiving $800 bill credits ended. You're seeing people report back who ordered during the offer window.

As a reminder stay calm, cool, and courteous with the rep. That's the most effective way to get them to help you as you guide them to try and help you on a task they don't normally perform on a day-to-day basis.
If the trade in department is being difficult call customer care at 611. Yes you'll have to repeat your situation but the care rep can be your advocate when they reach out to trade in to help assist with your issue.
I know all of this is frustrating and you are spending a lot of time trying to resolve this issue but stay persistent and you should be able to get them to honor the trade in value.
