I've never used one of these outdoor cams but I keep reading that the XT2 is the one to get because there are no fees for (limited) cloud storage/viewing. But they are hard to find and I've been missing the XT2 deals every time they appear for months! Thanks to the OP and to SD alerts I finally was awake to jump on one of these. Thank you.

No, Blink XT2 is compatible with Sync2 module. If you've got Sync2, you could just buy the add-on camera for $13 each.

XT 2 Camera is good, but lacks sensitivity. It sometimes does not catch a whole car moving into it's range. I have 2 setup in the game location opposite each other and a few times 1 camera has completely missed the motion of car or person walking right in front.
