The Legions certainly were some of the best deals you could get your hands on about a year ago and heading into the holidays, and I'm sure by this time next year they'll be an interesting prospect again especially if next-gen cards face similar availability issues, but this would be the wrong time to buy one. Even if you were specifically looking for a laptop, you're better off waiting a little longer to get a better specced new model at about the same price, or just getting an older model around BF with a better GPU while maybe foregoing the Alder Lake processor.

The battery is 71Whr and no RJ-45 port which is unusual for a gaming laptop.

You are comparing boxy gaming laptops to thin and light. I don't think 100 watts is bad for the form factor. You can add a USB-C to ethernet adapter or a usb c hub. OVerall I find it an interesting model as long as you don't mind its limitations.
