Bought this one for 150 last year. In the summer they go up to 800.

The pump is not the best and it's too much work to keep it clean. Sitting in my shed right now and probably going to sell it this summer.

"IF" you can find one under 100, it's worth one summer.

I think it's common to upgrade the pump no? I think all pools are a pain, I'm sure one that you have to pack up every winter is even moreso. That being said I definitely know people who have used pools like this for years, perfect for kids if you're on a budget.

Was considering between this type and the inflatable type for three kids between 5 and 12. Sounds like the inflatable ones may not last long but less hassle to set it up and taking it down. The major disadvantage with the inflatables is they generally are only up to 10' in length which can be too small for more than two kids to enjoy.

I found the picture in the following inflatable pool laughable:

Even the adults look like ants in this 10' pool from the first photo.

It was fun to use the pool until it turned green on me. Lol. So in this case yes, the pump is not for this size. I had to go buy many chemicals and accessories to get it back to blue. And also, the filter had to be cleaned every 2 days or so since it's a very small pump.

imo 5 and 12 is too old for inflatable. Inflatable is just not big enough both in dept and others.

I don't see how having a decent size pool at home is economical unless you swim a lot. Also can't swim in winter.

The legs of the metal frame will rust and corrode eventually. I just took apart my pool to be thrown away. This is the second time and the last time I will be dealing with above ground pool. It does take a lot of work to clean and maintain. Not to mention the electric bill and the water bill involved. The Chorine tablets have skyrocketed in price. IHO, the pool gets used very little and it is a sore eye in the yard. I hope this helps those who are contemplating buying this.
