I understand these are not M12 Fuel tools, but $99 for an Oscillating Multi-tool, an Impact driver, 2.0 battery & charger is quite a good entry

Just FYI, kit says 1.5ah battery. Still a good deal but just wanted to pass that along

The non-Fuel versions of these tools are not so great. The oscillating Multi-Tool is especially lame. And the battery is too small and underpowered.

These are the bottom of the barrel in terms of the M12 lineup. Kind of offensive too that they just give you the 1.5 battery.

I'm in for one.

I have both M12 Fuel and M18 Fuel for each of these tools. I agree those a way superior to these. But they cost way more, too. For those who need a set of power tools to drive some little screws here and these once awhile, and don't want to spend too much, this is what I'd go for.

Maybe. But 12v just is so weak without the fuel aspect. I had to return the multi tool for the fuel because it was just too annoying having it stop all the time

without describing what your applications are, it's hard to imagine how weak it is. Even the M12 Fuel is underpowered at some certain tasks, too. I wouldn't use it to cut 200 pieces of screws a day either.

I was cutting fairly soft vynil plank around a toilet. Fuel worked fine. Non fuel kept stopping and made the vynil burn/smell.

I get that this is a decent deal. And good to have one around. But if you have a project planned I'd spring for the fuel.

I see. Thanks. Since I don't have this one, what would be ideal application for this tool?

Yup. And the vibration on the multitool is so bad that the battery comes out. I think the fuel version has some sort of a dampener system on it

Agreed
Battery is underpowered for these tools and the non fuel M12 ocillatiting tool should be avoided,
