do you have to use all 3 or would it work with just 1 or 2? i don't have a big ass house... just house with may corners and hallways. is the parental control free or subscription based?

You don't need to use all 3, and if you have a small space then using 2 would be better than trying to jam in 3 due to the way wifi works.

Thank you. How's the parental control on these? Also if these are mounted in a closet would the Wi-Fi still work? We don't have electrical plugs in the hall way and don't want it mounted inside a room.
