While it IS also available from Ubisoft for $2.50, that requires you to have Ubisoft connect installed for DRM and internet connection. The GoG is a DRM free copy that you can keep hold of and backup to DVD or USB drive to install on your next computer (and next, and next...), without needing Ubisoft connect every time.

Was my favorite game ever on the mac.. but if memory serves the Mac version somehow got lost forever somehow, sadly

Just remembered that I had already bought this game a few years ago. Couldn't remember where, then realized it was from here, lol. Loved this game when I was a teen.

Heroes 3 is possibly the greatest in all the genre. Gameplay, story, soundtrack. It all came together in this one. For anyone also looking for a similar game; Songs of Conquest does a good job of emulating and is an ode to the heroes franchise
