I think you are mistaking these for regular Samsung SD cards, but they aren't. These are Endurance PRO card with super longevity, for stuff like security cams, dash cams, etc. They are also built better against water, magnets, X-rays and extreme temperatures, and drops. I'm buying one for my waterproof camera just in case its seal ever fails a little bit. Probably won't save it against a full failure, though. Smilie

Also, they do not make Endurance PRO cards at 512GB capacity, according to the Samsung website. So you are definitely mistaking these cards for something else. This exact same card went Frontpage at $1 more, last month.
There are so many negative reviews of knock-off SD cards from all manufacturers and types, it's better to get from a true retailer than take the risk of a knock-off.
Why are there people still talking @#$% about fake Samsung memory cards in every single one of these threads. If you have a fake memory card, request a return and send it back to the retailer. You can easy verify the memory card with free software from Samsung's website. I bought this same memory card through the Amazon deal and got a genuine Samsung card. Case closed.

Probably because some people refuse to believe that Amazon sends fake ones when it's shipped/sold by Amazon. I've gotten fake ones from Amazon and then return as you've said.

Doing too many returns can result in your Amazon account being suspended. It's not a common problem, but since they refuse to even give general details of what their criteria for it are, minimizing your returns is the better option..

That's a regular card, not a PRO Endurance card which has much longer lifespan for stuff like dash cams, security cams, etc.

Ah! I thought you you meant for the pro-endurance. That would have been a heck of a deal.

Not my experience. Been using non-endurance microSD (pretty much all SanDisk) in my dash cam for years, and in security camera continuous recording for ~1 year. No issues to date. So I'd like to see data on this.

Regardless of type of card used, if the content is important, it should be backed up/downloaded frequently.
Depends how many times it is fully written. Bigger card in lower res camera will last for long time. By my estimate 150-200 times will kill standard, I had several sd cards destroyed in the dash cam before I realized I need high endurance. Endurance lasted 300+ times before I swapped for a bigger one (also endurance)

People buy these for reliability, not importance. It ain't important until something happens.
