It does, fat in particular which slows digestion.

I'm Type1 diabetic with a CGM (constant glucose monitoring). Consuming 60g of isolate protein will still spike my sugar levels after an hour.
But 60g of same protein, with some fats (10-20g) (from fish/chicken) will make that spike more of a hump, and over several hours.

Because this has sugar, It'll spike my sugar levels a bit... so I'll mix in some psyllium powder to slow absorption down.

Been low-carb (not KETO however) for a year+ now... lost 40lb, back to my college weight and feel great.

Anyhow.. giving this a try. Smilie

There's no soy protein in this. Unfortunately that doesn't make you any less of a misinformed bigot.

Fellow t1 here. I think it varies from person to person, I get no significant spikes after eating protein of any kind
Yeah. I think some of these protein powders are fudging the carb numbers.

Like "Dymatize ISO100 Hydrolyzed Protein Powder" lists 0 fat, 1g carb, 25g protein per scoop.

I have 2 or 3 scoop (using water) for breakfast and my BSL will go from 80 to 200 in about 40min and to 300 30min after that if I don't dose some insulin.

I dunno what's up. Oh well, I dose as needed. My A1c varies between 5.2 and 5.5...love my CGM

I think he may have (incorrectly) assumed this was soy protein instead of pea protein. Soy protein has been shown to lower testosterone while increasing estrogen in males. Don't know how much over what period of time though.

No, it's a Pea. I'm not a vegan by a long shot, but I don't see any reason why pea protein can't be ok to drink too.

Is this a failed joke, or do you really not know that there are many other things besides meat that give us protein?

The "Clean Label" organization, who did that supposed study, does not seem to be legit. And it seems they've been pulling the same scam for years on various product types.

The biggest problem is they don't release any data, just star-ratings.

Clean Label Project's Protein Powder Report Overlooks Basic Scientific Principles

"..."Detectable" Does Not Mean Unsafe..."

"...the Clean Label Project operates without much transparency..."

"No peer review. "
"Unknown methodologies."
"No data."
"Subjective rating system."
"No accreditation."

"While the organization claims to be a watchdog group on mission to educate consumers about the dangers of "detectable" levels of contaminants, it is operating an unaccredited certification program, which will allow "acceptable" levels of contaminants in certified products."

What is this, Twitter?

If you don't like vegan stuff or think it'll make your peepee shrink more, don't buy it, damn. Move on.

Great price at 9 something.
