IMHO Soundcore has not improved the Q35 headphone much over the previous model (Q30) and therefore this isn't much of a SD.
The improvements of the Q35 vs. the Q30 are:
1. More bass (the Q30 already has a very nice sound profile but the Q35 kicks the bass up more which might be nice if you are a bass head)
2. Mic use AI noise reduction when in use. This might be nice if you use them in crowded situations though from the review video below I couldn't detect a significant difference in voice quality
3. Has "smart wearing technology" meaning the Q35 automatically mutes sound when you take off your headphones
4. Has larger memory foam ear pads (which some having indicated are now too large)
Other than that, the Q35 are essentially the same as the Q30 headphones.
I have a pair of Q30's and love them. They are great headphones for the money and are currently only $60 on Amazon. If I didn't have a pair of the Q30 headphones I would go for the Q35's if they were on sale for $10 - $15 more (maybe). I think with all the really positive reviews that Soundcore has gotten in the past for their Life Q line, they decided to bump up the pricing. IMO Soundcore way overpriced the Q35's to begin with (especially in comparison to the Q30s).

buy once cry once. if these could stand on their own, they wouldn't try copying the QC name from Bose. Just wait for a BF deal and get the real deal. not this cheap knockoff
Sorry, even on a great deal on the Bose will be over $220 compared to $60 for the Q30.

The smart wearing technology doesn't work well for me (randomly pauses), so I had to turn it off. Otherwise I'm happy with these headphones. I paid more for them as well (can't remember the exact $ amount).

These are rated quite well, particularly for their price.

Also do you think these grip the head enough to stay on during workouts? I usually add a headband as well

Are the q35's better? Yes. Are they worth the full retail price difference? No.
I do notice the difference in comfort and bass from the q30's. That can be a big for some.
