I realize this is not the same level of the original post but good deal for a bike.

Amex Everyday Bluecash supposedly 3% for online orders, YMMV if this counts for pickup...
In for one. I bought a bike for $20 that needed work yesterday....so that's backburner now LOL.

As a point of perspective, when I got my first 29" bike I had it in my head that it would totally blow away my older bike. Well when it came to off road/trail stuff it certainly did but on the road it absolutely didn't. This is part of why my 90s bike became my family ride bike.
The flip side is if someone thinks they may try actual trail/single track riding the Axum will be a good choice. A good offroad bike may not be the best on road option it's going to be able to do it while the reverse may not be true.
Thanks OP and others for the great video links!

The Axum is more specialized and certainly much more capable off road but for casual riding it's probably going to be a disappointment in comparison.
Another big factor is that the axum riding position is very aggressive. My back was happier riding the decathlon st100.

There is good and bad. Mine had a bent rear derailleur but I was able to fix that. The brakes were weak. I could not fix that. The drivetrain was good after tuning at first, but started popping after a few miles and then the bottom bracket loosened a couple miles later. The frame was good. I liked the bars and wheels/tires. It could be a good base to upgrade at this price. $200 for decent fork, $100 for hydro brakes, and a tool kit to keep the bottom bracket adjusted and you'll have a pretty nice bike.
Well I was in my underwear and sandals doing this in my (closed) garage so..... not exactly the opportunity to check seat height accurately
Taking off an inch or 2 of the post won't hurt anything. As I said, not much sense in really worrying about it too much until I get the other seat in a couple weeks.
So far looks pretty solid, kick stand doesn't seem to allow for much tilt, it's pretty tippy when sitting by itself.
