It's been challenging to find anything less than $10 per filter for at least six months, at least for me, so this is wonderful. Thank you!

Boil the water first. Cool it, then filter.

target has a coupon for zerowater (YMMV: Save $20 when you Spend $70 on Home); which makes 4pk+4pk $80 or 4pk+2pk $65

Target had single filters on clearance for about 4.97 this weekend (California). Check your B&M locations

These are great for moving TDS like heavy metals, for example. If you're using these for a prepper type purpose, remember you'll also need a filter for viruses and bacteria.

I gave up on zero water a couple years ago after dealing with too many fishy tasting filters. I ended up switching to AquaTru. Higher up front cost but I've been happy with it

For me, they only last around a month. It doesn't matter how much I use the pitcher, they just go "bad".

TDS can show 000/001. Doesn't matter Smilie

I noticed that too, the TDS was still fine but they got a weird taste. When they're expensive filters I wasn't happy with just trashing the filter so early

This looks interesting, how much waste water does it generate?

The bottom maybe 15-20% gets dumped out each time. Sometimes I dump it into the plants to water them, sometimes the dogs bowl gets it, and sometimes it just helps soak some dishes. The filters last way longer with the most frequent one being every 6 months. Another is yearly, and the most expensive is every 2 years. I have the Wi-Fi version so the app gives me reminders and filter life status which is nice. It even tracks the number of gallons you run through it

The last time I had a 40% coupon at Kohls I got an 8 pack for like $65.

They don't even have the 8 packs available now

No research suggests this. It does remove taste. But depending on your personal preference you might like it.
