This tool is worthless for both a professional and a DIYer. get an corded or a flexvolt
What's wrong with it? Not questioning you, asking the question so I do/don't buy.

This saw is great for anyone who is in the dewalt ecosystem that has a 2-300 impact driver and drill kit and batteries wants a circular saw. I NEVER listen any comments that just spew words or compare to products 3 times the price. like flexvolt... probaby has a 300.00 yeti cooler also for fake street cred. its a decent price and brushless with a thicker deckplate than the brushed garbage that comes with the 5-7 tool kits

No, this is not brushless and it is the version that comes with the big sets. DCS565B is the brushless version.

I have a flexvolt and I also have the brushless version of this but it has an almost identical chassis. Each has their place. The flexvolt is big and heavy and requires big heavy batteries, but is powerful. This small and light, and can take small and light batteries, just know the power output is reduced. This is nice for small quick jobs or, conversely, is good for big jobs like breaking down sheets of plywood (just make sure you have the right blade).

Coincidentally, I have 4 yeti coolers.

If I'm spending money I would buy the 7-1/4" dewalt brushless circular saw, journeyman union carpenter here. Have the full size brushless model and I can rip 2x4s no problem with the correct blades and battery. I purchased mine years ago before the flex volt it's the xr and it has been a work horse.

Appreciate this reply, echos my own view pretty much. I'll add that I'm somewhere between a diy and journeyman. I help out on a crew from time to time that does a whole bunch of different side framing jobs and in the go get it go cut it tear it down guy. Been doing it for years on the side almost for fun, I use this exact saw and the dewalt 20v brushed Sawzall. Both are 4 yrs old, ABUSED, and there really isn't much I haven't been able to tackle. A diy does not need anything more than this for 99.9% of occasions.

On the price, it's about what you could get it for of fb marketplace. personally I'd wait for it as part of a better kit deal

It's sold by the DEWALT store on Amazon, and it says "Brushless" on the product page..?

Thought it was brushless because the description said so, lol. Yeah, I'll only do brushless when it comes to my tools. Thanks.
