I have a flexvolt and I also have the brushless version of this but it has an almost identical chassis. Each has their place. The flexvolt is big and heavy and requires big heavy batteries, but is powerful. This small and light, and can take small and light batteries, just know the power output is reduced. This is nice for small quick jobs or, conversely, is good for big jobs like breaking down sheets of plywood (just make sure you have the right blade).
