For anyone looking at this kit, while the tools DO have brushless motors the overall kit is a lesser verison of Ryobi's brushless line. The full bore brushless tools take advantage of HP batteries. The tools in this kit cannot do that, and the batteries included are not the better HP versions. Also, $199 has been the price on this kit since before Labor Day. It's still a good price, just not a true screaming deal. Now if they tossed in a 6th tool...

Ryobi and other manufacturers need to be taken to task for offering 1.5Ah batteries. Virtually useless and creating Mounds of toxic waste. If every brand offered Minimun 2Ah batteries, there'd be less consumer time wasted and less toxic waste. Also wld be great if they offered an exchange program wherein they replaced the batteries inside n resold them as refuilt. Far Less waste. SDers cld lead the charge.

I already have the brushless hammer drill that I use as a normal drill, and 2 brushed impact drivers that I use all the time (the original green one and the 3 speed). In terms of upgrades, is this kit worth it for the drill and impact driver (assuming one could make use of the recip and oscillating tool), or are some of you going with the more compact HP impact driver instead and piecing things together? There's so many versions of impact driver out now it's hard to figure out if it's worth an upgrade :-).

OP, you might want to fix the note. The 2 batteries are regular versions and not HP (high performance). Now the difference between two is another debate.
