Are you sure it wasn't three months for $45?

Check your coverage area for T-mobile before joining Mint and you won't be surprised later…

Boost has 3mo 5GB for $15: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/boos...Id=6484740

Is this a better deal if I don't use much data? Also, is it possible to get a bunch of these and swap between the boost and mint kits or do they have some way of enforcing the new customer only thing?
YMMV, but in my area Boost service quality is not nearly as good as Mint. (Greater Boston area, only tested with non-5G Pixel device).

You can convert the sim to esim after activating. No need to insert the physical sim.

Boost sucks. It requires one's credit card for auto pay and phone imei!

What about getting 4 of these to cover a year?

It's Mint's equivalent of airline baggage fees.
Not quite. You can avoid baggage fees by not checking in baggage. There's no way to avoid this "fee" short of not using their service. It'd be less shady if they just priced that into the price they advertise. I don't mind if they tack on government imposed taxes and fees, but this "recovery fee" is something they made up to be able to advertise a lower monthly price with no way to avoid it. It's shady advertising in my mind.

How easy is it to port out the number given to you? I am looking for a new number that I can port into Xfinity to get a new iPhone through their deal.
Don't bother with this then. Spend like $10 on an eBay port number. They'll give you a boost or TMobile number and pin in like fifteen minutes through an eBay seller message. I've done this for visible and Xfinity with no issues.

new customers only, but can you be a former customer and use this deal?
They usually count you as new if you haven't had active account within last 180 days.

You only have 45 days to activate the SIM card. And I think the 10GB plan is normally $35 per month if you pay month to month ($20 is only for new customers unless they changed it recently).

When does the 45 days timer start? Purchase date? Delivered? Want to see if possible to get 2 for 6 months

You can stop autopay.

Boost has unlimited data special for $30/3months.
Same $10/month as this deal but more data.

And you can hotspot 12gigs/month.

But also like this deal, new customers.

For people like me who's phone # is on gv, I don't care about the new # every 3 months.

I think boost is currently the better deal.
And boost has a customer rep on this site and (most of the time) answers questions in a timely manner

I don't use Zelle so I can't speak to that but I know PayPal works fine with it as do all the other 50+ apps I use regularly. I would contact Zelle and ask if they plan to fix the issue on their end.
It's not going to be fixed, it's not a "problem," Zelle is ahead of the curve. More and more companies are starting to try to switch away from "virtual numbers" for SMS 2FA, they want it tied to a specific "trusted" device. Ally Bank is another that doesn't allow this anymore, and I can only see it increasing rather than decreasing. It will take a few years, and some will find ways around it, but the headache may not be worth it eventually.

Boost has said auto pay can be removed but no one knows how to delete the saved credit card. Do you know it? Show the steps!
