What people say about "recovery fees", etc, is true. But, it is exactly the same thing as other carriers charge. If a T-mobile plan is $140/mo for x lines with "taxes and fees included", then they have just factored in your recovery charges, fed taxes, etc. Every carrier has to pay taxes to the government and they are passing that along to the consumer....it is more a matter of: so I want to see one, cumulative $$ on my bill or have that final number broken out for me to see.
Think I am wrong? Look no further than the T-Mobile tiers. Essentials has taxes and fees added on. Magenta/Magenta max don't.....but these fees are simply covered by the monthly $$. My old,Simple Choice plan for TMobile was 2 lines of unlimited data for $100/mo + taxes/fees. Average monthly bill was $119.50....but it would change by a dime or so each month due to fluctuations in the taxes/fees. Sometimes $119.24, others $119.87. Never the same number. I guess I just got used to it.
TLDR: the FINAL $/month is not $15/20/25/30 (or whatever Mint says), but it is no different than other carriers who don't expose their fees.
