Is new egg that bad now? Haven't done business with them for years...
Rebates come from the mfr, nothing to do with Newegg - same rebate processors involved whether it's Seasonic/MSI/Coolermaster whether you buy on Amazon/Newegg/Microcenter...

Great price. Newegg is terrible if there are any rebates involved. The speakers are decent.

Not always. I personally had an issue with direct Newegg rebate. That was quite a while ago. They simply rejected my rebate stating they never received the supporting docs such as the receipt and the bar code when I know it sent it to them. It was just for $10 or something, so I decided to let it go and not to buy from them if there is a rebate. Without any rebates, they are quite reliable.
