I suppose the downvote was attributed to "Newegg"....Otherwise the price is great and previous SD threads had many upvotes.

Great price. Newegg is terrible if there are any rebates involved. The speakers are decent.

it's NEVER EGG now, owner changed hands , service is now terrible, they will lie and say you're at fault for any problems, avoid.

nah, overblown by GN lemmings - this is backed by 30 No-Hassles Returns which those folks don't mention

Not always. I personally had an issue with direct Newegg rebate. That was quite a while ago. They simply rejected my rebate stating they never received the supporting docs such as the receipt and the bar code when I know it sent it to them. It was just for $10 or something, so I decided to let it go and not to buy from them if there is a rebate. Without any rebates, they are quite reliable.
