Seemingly hot off the press, Xfinity Rewards has added "xFi Pod Giveaway" as part of Rewardathon ending today.

I'm a Diamond Rewards member, the top tier, so I don't know which other tiers may be eligible.

At first I thought it might be a sweepstakes, but no, it's a free xFi Pod worth ~$100. At least I assume it's the latest generation. I already use two at home. Upon claiming, "Your xFi Pod is on the way! Look for your Pod in 4-6 weeks."

I am diamond level and the pod was not offered as an option. I asked the chat bot about the pod and it said. "It appears the It looks like your Internet device isn't compatible with xFi Pods. Pods are only available if you have a compatible xFi Gateway. Would you like to upgrade?". I have a separate cable modem and Netgear Orbi wireless router system so I doubt the pod would be of much use to me.

I t may be the pod is only showing up as an option on compatible systems.

As a Diamond Rewards member, I figured I wasn't offered the doorbell and camera because I only subscribe to Triple Play (not Home) and wasn't offered the helmet because I don't subscribe to any extra sports packages. Go figure. I'll leave it to someone else to complain to a rep and get to the bottom of this discrimination.

They had a pretty detailed list and what brands are not included but I cannot access it or find it now that I activated the offer. I did try to see if someone made a mistake in coding so the codes would work online, nope. Eh I prob will pass but there is potential for good deals.

So I "rented" the modem to get the unlimited data for free. It is cheaper than adding the unlimited data by itself.

Because if I want Unlimited data with no 1.2 tb cap it would cost me $50 a month. But renting the model and paying for the security for $25, removes the data cap, so I save $25 a month. No brainer
