This is the newer model. Great value. Has 5 programable buttons, including double-click. Ergonomic design, slightly larger than other mouses. I find it very comfortable to hold. My last Deathadder lasted over nine years!

Bought one of these a few months ago from an electronics reseller near me for $10 bucks. Loved it for so cheap but then the scroll wheel would keep bouncing back up when I would scroll down after a few months. Bought another two in white for even cheaper (2 for $15) So it's still currently my mouse. Hoping the scroll wheel doesn't mess up again. But pretty good for the price range.
This version is better than the two V2 ones I tested. I have several of these in white, they last me about a year or so. I use these because of the larger side buttons and overall comfort.

when the wheel bounce it's usually a problem with the encoder the wheel is connected to. there's usually 3 solutions for that.
1. firmware update (that might fix it)
2. fill the gap between the wheel and the encoder with a piece of paper
3. replace the encoder
Are gaming mice likely to go for less around Black Friday etc.? Thinking of getting one for a buddy for the holidays but figure it may be too early to pull the trigger.

I had a former version of this mouse I bought back in 2013, and it lasted until this year when I started having trouble with scroll-wheel-clicking not working some of the time. I bought this to replace, and it's almost exactly the same. The main difference is that the click noise is quite a bit louder. If I had spent more on this, I would not have been happy with it, but at the price, I'm just going to deal with it. I'm satisfied with it, at this price!

Then the left click became "double click" sometimes. I put them in the garage.
From 2022 I got the mouse and set up a gaming PC. It's still kinda working.
But this deal brought the old memories (my GF bought the mouse for me and she is my wife now). I'm going to send her the link and let her buy me again
