Not sure what's going on. I guess I'll keep checking on the trimmer with the battery. If I can get it, I'll cancel the backordered trimmer tool only.

Received the $55 string trimmer. Box seemed retaped. Trimmer had scratches on the middle and grass on the bottom. All brochures seemed retaped. HD customer service gave me a $15 credit. Worked fine. The trimmer and battery have a 4 year warranty, so for $40 plus tax, not too bad. The battery is about 4x bigger than it has to be. Doesn't weigh much. Charger is light and fan is loud. Build quality is suspect, so we will see. Claims 60 minute run time. I'll be happy with 15-20 minutes.

Okay I definitely didn't read this through well. I thought it was a ready to go product, but the package I just got says tool only. I'm not spending all that extra $$ for batteries and a charger. I'm returning it.

I ordered ONE (just one for my own use) of the following: Leaf Blower, Hedge Trimmer and String Trimmer, all with the battery and charger.

All were delivered as "Tool Only."

What good are any of these without batteries and chargers? The batteries that are available are either stupid expensive ($139 for a 2.0 Ah and up from there) or hard to find (the product page for the Greenworks Pro 60V 2.0 Ah battery is already deleted from Home Depot's website).

Home Depot literally didn't care when I told them I ordered each tool with the battery and charger. I spoke with 3 CS reps.

I guess these will be returned.

The great battery scam and collusion between these manufacturers continues, where each makes sure to produce a different casing configuration on the same batteries so only their batteries work with their tools, and the batteries cost more than the tools themselves.

That stinks that home depot is pulling that with the battery and chargers. They know the items and sku's don't match but send it anyway making a trip to the store necessary to return them. We'll see what happens with mine on monday maybe I'll get lucky and actually get what I ordered.
