- NJ: When I did an in-store pickup of an online-order, tax was automatically calculated on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal). According to the representative, this is because TIV_normal is processes as a GC and it has to be applied after the checkout, so the tax is charged on that part. Don't know if this is all true to CA or other states.

- I've done in-store trade-ins a few times at Best Buy. They only do a cursory look at the phone, to make sure it matches the color and condition. They don't care if it is carrier locked or is still being financed. -RonaldM

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

1. Can I back up my Pixel 6 to google or to a jump drive or some other way, then factory reset it to trade it in before I pick up my new pixel 7, then restore all my data, contacts, photos,etc. to the pixel 7 when I bring it home?
2. I have a pixel 6 128gb Verizon version now. Can I remove the sim card from the pixel 6 before I trade it in and install it in my new pixel 7 128gb UNLOCKED VERSION. Will my phone activate on its own, restoring my cell telephone number and allowing me to use it on the Verizon system just like I did with my pixel 6. Will my cell phone plan that I am currently on not be affected in any way,shape,or form? Will that allow me to not pay any activation fee thru Verizon with my new Pixel 7? Will Verizon know that I have upgraded my phone?
When I purchased the Pixel 6 Verizon version last year, I connected my pixel 2 to the pixel 6 with a data cable to transfer the data from one phone to the other. I actually purchased two pixel 6's, one activated on its own and the other I had to call Verizon to activate it. Best buy charges $39.99 to transfer data from the old phone to the new phone in the store.
