once you go to the store they will deduct your trade in value and you will only pay the difference, the full charge when you preorder is just a temporary hold
This is true I think. I can see the pending transactions are gone. Thank you!

You'll only notice the modem/signal issues if you live/use the phone in a poor cell phone reception area.
I had the Pixel 6 Pro since November '21 (about a month after release) and do not live in a poor signal area for T-Mobile. At home, the Pixel 6 Pro would consistently stop receiving calls or text, but data would still function. Making it worse, most of the time there would be no indication that it was in that degraded state. All other phones at home (mix of iPhone models and other Android devices like Z Fold3, OnePlus 9, Surface Duo 2) never exhibited similar issues. If I remember correctly, it took until just after the QPR in June/July for things to be reliable. If it had been my primary phone, I would have gotten rid of it long before.
I think I even swapped my T-Mobile SIM for my Verizon SIM (also strong signal) for a month, and it still exhibited similar issues. So, didn't seem to be carrier-specific.

I'm hoping the Pixel 7 Pro won't have as many issues, and one of the key reasons I'm happy to trade-in the Pixel 6 Pro towards it.

Lol with all these people complaining about modem. My wife has p6, I have p6pro.... Zero issues with calls. Sorry, I call bllsht on the modem issues.
Just curious how long you had the Pixel 6 Pro. If you didn't get it until June'ish, I think you missed the majority of the issues.

Has anyone done trade in with BestBuy before? I know I did a trade in with Google few years back and they backtracked on the value even though my phone was literally a new one

My wife's P7 is arriving tomorrow and in a way im more excited to play with it than my own S22U. I really hope Google is finally on the right track. Been wanting to get a Pixel myself for years but always held off in favor of a Galaxy for worries about stability and the Samsungs have been stupid good for me at catching signals even in poor service areas. I do prefer the clean more stock Android of the Pixels and what Google does with its software overall is impressive (my wife has had pixels). Just the AI calling assistant and voice recognition alone are magical.

I ordered online and receive the Pixel 7 this afternoon. Then went to store trying to trade-in my iPhone XR but failed. They input my order phone number and email address but the trade-in information did not show up. They believed my trade-in will go through mail-in instead of at store. I thought there could be possible that the official sale start on tomorrow so the system did not alowed the in-store trade-in.

Well I am on a pixel 7 right now.

My initial impression is that it's faster than my pixel 6. It's a little snappier in everything and the fingerprint sensor is way better. It also feels lighter. Screen is brighter but I didn't have a problem before. The phone is slightly smaller but the screen goes closer to the edges. I feel like the size is perfect but some people like having the biggest phones. For some reason the touch screen just feels more responsive or instantly reactive to touches. I am on mint and it works fine. All I did was swap sim cards.

Fyi I am someone that had no issues with the pixel 6 and was happy with it. I upgraded because of the deal. I am happy with the 7 so far.
Cool. How did you get it today? Hope did you backup your p6 before trading in?

I just bought this and trading my phone in store when its ready. They dont need the cable and charger with the phone Im trading in, right?

I'm trading in my pixel 6. Its a great phone overall, but the reception in my corner of the house (where I spend a majority of the time) is not that great, didnt have this issue with reception on my last two pixels. Hope the 7 is better in that respect.

Nope, they don't want any of the accessories, you can keep cases, screen protectors, chargers, cables, etc.

Do you know if they want you to factory reset over there or you can do it at home ?

Can't say from experience, but I'd imagine either should be fine.

UPS delivered it earlier today. I didn't do pickup in the store. I actually just realized nobody was supposed to get these until the 13th now that you asked. I think UPS delivered for some of us on the 12th

Staying with my Pixel 4 XL that is still running like a champ. Not convinced I need to spend nearly $450 to get the pro-model (after trade-in and best buy GC).

I have no immediate use for the best buy GC and likely will end up selling online for 10% less.

Anyone agree with me ? Or wants to change my mind ?
My 4XL battery going bad, otherwise I'd have stuck with it.
