Google store now showing an $200 increase in trade in value vs just a $200 gift card.

Early adopters gets screwed again.
Where? I don't see any promos.

It doesn't show up on the trade-in receipt. It will reflect on your order details in your best buy account after the transaction is done. The bonus amount is taken from the purchase price. It should also reflect on the final receipt once the pickup/trade-in is done.
So you're saying Best Buy will credit back the card I paid with the $250 promotional credit?

If so, that's bizarre that the store manager would not know that, and corporate would not know that either.

I went through with checkout online and I was charged $899 + tax. I tried to go through with the pick up and trade in at the store. Store manager didn't recommend it, because no one, not even Best Buy corporate could figure out where the $250 promo credit went. Store manager recommended cancelling everything because Best Buy system isn't working properly. So all the manager said was try again next week. To be perfectly clear, the store manger, after talking to corporate for about an hour while I stood there, said he could only guarantee that I would get $230 trade-in for my Pixel 6. NO ONE knew anything about the $250 promotional trade in credit, even when I showed them a new order on my phone that clearly shows the $250 promotional trade in credit. When the manager tells me "I can't guarantee you're going to get that $250" after the convo with corporate, there's now way I was picking up that phone. Without the $250 promo credit, there's absolutely no reason to get this phone from Best Buy.
Hmm well that's unfortunate that the manager you spoke with wasn't very experienced or knowledgeable. The rep I initially spoke to when I picked up mine ran into a similar issue (not showing the 250 additional promo for the trade-in) but when he called his manager over, all they did was keep going through the steps until they were on the final confirmation screen and that's where they saw the entirety of the calculations.

Then again, maybe I just got lucky as I did pick mine up just a few minutes before the trade-in system went down (I know because the second guy that came in 10 minutes after me was advised that they can't accept his 3 trade-ins for 3 different phone orders right after he just factory reset them).

Thank you. I remember the Best Buy manger saying they don't sell many Pixel phones, and no one in the store had any knowledge of this particular promotion at all. Have to say, I'm OK with the Pixel 6, but it doesn't hold a candle to my less expensive, vastly superior Huawei phone that no longer works with my carrier! Too bad Huawei is no longer an option in the USA.
After reading responses here and elsewhere, I think the vanishing promo trade-in credit I and others have experienced is due to the acknowledged recent problems / failure of Best Buy's trade in system. I've a feeling if I had picked up this phone on good faith, I would have gotten burned and never gotten the $250. I'm going to try again later this week when hopefully the problems with the trade-in system are addressed. Thanks again!

You worry too much. Just complete the process and it will work.

I trade-in:
XR for Pixel 7. Receipt shows $120
Pixel 6 for Pixel 7 Pro. Receipt shows $230.
Once I stepped out the store. Got emails for $200 and $100 Gift cards.
All refunds are properly applied to my credit card.

That all looks like mine. Pixel 6 trade in value for Pixel 7 Pro should show $480, not $230. $230 is the Best Buy trade in value for a Pixel 6. You don't list the $250 promo credit. But just like me and everyone else, you should have also gotten the promotional trade in credit of $250. Store showed me everything you list EXCEPT the additional $250 promotional trade in credit. As I said, the manager, corporate, literally no one knew anything about it. Then I read where the trade in system has had problems for the last 2-3 days, and the store employees said they had the exact same problem I had earlier today or yesterday with someone else trying to get the promotional trade credit on a Pixel 7 Pro, and it didn't work then either. So I'm waiting til Best Buy gets it sorted.

As mentioned a few times, here's how it will show in your order details afterwards. You can see that the $899 Pixel 7 Pro is discounted by $250. Again, on the trade-in receipt, it will only show the trade-in value, and not the promotional discount.

You can do it at BB store and hold up everyone waiting. It took me almost one hour to pick up and trade in because there were four people in front of me. A lady was there for more than half hour with the associate helping her setup and transfer.

For pixel to pixel and most android, the usb c to usb c transfer is pretty fast. Use the given cable to link up and it took like 5 minutes for me to transfer the apps. Only the login you must remember your password or use google to store password.
Why don't you guys just back it up to a personal usb drive and transfer it to your new Pixel 7 when you get home. No need to keep everyone waiting. No wonder lines are long.

The value expires 14 day from the order placement date. I got burned once. TIV is honored only for 14 days and it's shows in checkout
Wonder if that extends if the order was delayed? Plus no where on the initial order email does it state that the value expires

So I went to TMobile store today to check out the P7. They have the obsidian color on display next to the P7P. The screen is definitely brighter on the 7P but too bad it's a big too big for my liking and the price different wasn't convincing enough. The P7 just feels right in the hand and much easier to manage than its bigger brother, the 7P. Went home and placed an order for the P7 with BB. Luckily a store near me got one available for pick up tomorrow!! For those that didn't see the obsidian color in person, it's very classy looking out of the bunch. It's also more cohesive because the camera bar and the body colors are of the same hue. The lemongrass color is more for the younger crowd. The snow color is nice but I dont like the silver accent of the camera bar. Makes it tacky IMO. So don't be afraid of the obsidian color guys. It's a classy, mature color that says you are a mature person of a certain age and not a millennial.
Any tips on how to wipe data on my P4 before handing it over to BB?
You realize Millennials are like 40 years old, right?

You might be thinking of Gen Z.

In checkout, the promo says 420 for IPhone XR trade in, but the trade in value for the XR shows 120 in cart. Is that normal?

Mine doesn't. Trade in value for my S20 fe is $380 but it only shows $130 on checkout page.
