anyone can comment on Pixel 7 potentially becoming a valuable trade in option for an iphone on BF? I bought one but not sure I want to switch to android right now, so wondering if there could be a potential use for it as a trade in in the next couple of months
Also considering this back up plan if the iCuffs are too strong.

Traded in my 128 GB P6 and got the $480 price quote. Not sure why there is no option to choose between the P6 128 GB or the 256GB, does not seem fair for the 256 GB to get $480 like the 128 GB. Anyway,

P6: Bought for $520 total last year used, and got $480 from BB, loss of $40 after 1 year of use.
Traded in for the P7P for $969 total, and got the $200 BB GC.
It means I paid, $969 - $480 = $489
Extra Retail Cashback 4% + Chase Freedom PayPal 5% = $20 + $24 = $44
Therefore: $969 - $480 - $44 - $200 = $245 paid for the P7P.

Not too shabby. Now the wait for the P7P Hazel.
Let us know when your Hazel ships. Hoping it's faster than the 2 week estimate they give on their website.

No. Pixels have crap resale and trade in values. You should only consider this deal if you plan to use the phone. For trade in pixel is a no no.

For people who payed with PayPal, how long did it take PayPal to process your refund back to your bank account? It's been 2 days for me and it's not back in my bank account yet.
It took less than a day for me to get my refund ( paypal)

Yes and no. Some carriers like Tmobile will take anything as a high-value trade-in paid in bill credits over years to get you onto one of their overpriced plans. I checked the Costco trade-in partner and they are offering approximately what I will be out of pocket for the 6 PRO with my iPhone XR trade-in -approx. $300. I am considering the gift cards as good as cash and am assuming they will do the same for the 7/7pro.

With that said, Pixels certainly don't maintain their values like iPhones. Not even close. In a few months, Google employees will be selling them super cheap all over second-hand marketplaces, which is how I acquired my Pixel 1, 1XL. 2, 2XL, and 3.

If we return the order, will they refund back the entire amount or the (total - GC) amount back to the Credit card ?

Either way, I am also thinking of returning the phone in store, get the refund. Then place the order for same store pickup with the correct tradein device and request them to give the same phone that I returned to them. Is this feasible ?
doubt it 100% .. When you place an order , you will be assigned a fresh phone with a specific IMEI

anyone know if BB will honor the trade-ins if it's a screw up on their ends?

Did you check your UPS account for pending deliveries? That is how I was able to find the tracking number for my trade-in kit (one arriving tomorrow, and another on Monday).

Above is quoted from my own post on Oct 13 so ppl can know what happened. Here's 2nd part of my frustration story:

I called best buy next day on Oct 14, spent about 4 hours on phone, got transferred multiple times, none of the representatives were really helpful. They all claimed that I need to go to the local store because the issue is related to trade-in. So tired of those bullshit, I drove to the store in the afternoon (Jesus, took 1.5 hours because of weekend traffic). In store, I spoke with the supervisor in Cell phone department, she positively told me that I picked up in the store, but it's still an online order, they can't modify anything for online order, you need to talk to online support. I had to call the online support on site with her, the representative still had no clue what happened. The supervisor said it may take few days coz they need to ship the trade-in phones to recycle center, my issue might be resolved automatically once the phone gets received in recycle center. I had to drive another 1+ plus hour back to home. My total wasted time is over 7+ hours.Mad

I waited for few days and called online support again today. From the voice, can tell that's a young guy. Seem he understood fully what happened, but he can't approve it because the amount is too high ($250+tax) his permission limits to $100 or under. He submitted a ticket and told me it may take up to 7 days to get an answer.

Well, what a pain! Hopefully it can be resolved smoothly. And I am sure this is last time I do trade-in in best buy. Mad
This. Had similar issue I posted about earlier. Ordered online, went to pick up, and no one at Best Buy knew anything about the Trade In Promotion. I cancelled my order. Some folks said "it will work...just trust Best Buy." Why the hell would anyone trust Best Buy? Now seeing posts like yours where folks are not getting the trade-in promotion credited back to them, which makes this deal not only not slick, but a scam.

Please follow up if / when you ever actually get your trade in promo credited back, OR if it screws up your ability to return the phone.

Although, reading about all the bugs and problems with the Pixel 7 Pro, I'm inclined to hold off. Looks like a step down from the Pixel 6 so far. Some folks can't even activate their phones, and Google is having to replace their phones because Google has acknowledged that some Pixel 7 / Pixel 7 Pros shipped with FAULTY MODEMS. Good they are replacing them, but what a pain, especially for anyone using their phone for business.
