I have been a Samsung user for as long as I can remember and went from an S22 to a Pixel Pro 256gb, but went straight back to my S22. Surprisingly, the selfie camera is a lot better on my S22 than on the P7Pro. Apparently, P7Pro's selfie camera doesn't have auto focus, and it also produces really overprocessed face shots in anything but bright daylight. Also, the display on the S22 is so much better. Auto brightness works better, colors are warmer. Another thing I just couldn't stand was the super large buttons with the full text on the pull down panel (to toggle Wifi, bluetooth, etc.). On my S22, the buttons are tiny with no text, so 6 of them can fit on a row. Not sure WTF Google is doing with two buttons per row with full text. Also, with the shitty adaptive brightness on the Pro where it only gets bright enough towards the end of the slider, I need to constantly adjust it, but you need to pull down two times to access the brightness slider vs. just once (configurable) on the S22. So much for the Pixel having better UI. The Pixel also feels hollow when you tap on the screen vs the solid feel of my S22, even though the Pixel is substantially heavier than the S22. You can double tap the Pixel's screen to turn it on, but can't double tap to turn it off. Yes, the Pixel has a lot of great features, but it has enough downsides to push me back to my S22, which just feels like a better phone. I even prefer the navigation on the S22 vs. the "clean" look UI of the Pixel. I'll give the pro another chance if Google fixes the terrible overprocessed selfies with an update, but for now, my base S22 (256gb) just feels so much better overall. /rant
All the problems you listed with the Pixel 7 Pro, and many you did not, can be found on the Pixel 7 / Pixel 7 Pro problems tracker.

I was looking forward to trading my Pixel 6 for the Pixel 7 Pro, but after problems with BB trade in (maybe a blessing in disguise as it turns out) the overheating, stuttering, scrolling, and camera issues people are reporting are the ones that have given me pause. Even without the problems, the camera on the Pixel 7 Pro doesn't seem to offer much improvement over my Pixel 6. Not much difference between the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 7...main difference is Tensor 2 chip, and I wonder if many of these problems with the Pixel 7's are going to involve the Tensor 2 having shortcomings or being a faulty chip.

Nah there's a way around it. I'm not going to get into it but it is possible to do the transaction with a GC applied. I just want to know how it ends up going for people who did this once they went to do the pickup/trade-in.
No issues with pick up yesterday.

Been using the pixel 7 pro for over a week as my secondary/third device and have had no issues surprisingly, was worried after reading about all the pixel 6 issues.

That sucks. So you are stuck with two buttons per row, and need to pull down two times to access the brightness slider. I can't believe Google doesn't let you customize something so basic.
What is this pulling down two times nonsense? Have you tried pulling down with two fingers?

That's interesting. Yeah, Google seems to continue the trend of launching half baked phones. Very disappointing as there is so much potential. I'd still trade in the 6 for the 7 though just so you can trade it in for the 8 next year (assuming you are staying on the Pixel bandwagon). Maybe I'll give the 7 Pro another chance if I see some of the issues fixed via updates. For now, I am back to my S22 and looking forward to what Samsung offers on the S23 in a couple of months.

I am aware of the two fingers nonsense "fix", but I can't do that as conveniently as with just a single finger swipe down. What's next, three four and five finger gestures to replace something you can easily do with a single finger on a Samsung? One finger pull down works perfectly on my Samsung. Not even giving users an option to do that on the Pixels is just idiotic.

And do you have any workarounds for the stupid oversized buttons that have text as well as the icon? I don't need a "Bluetooth" label right next to a Bluetooth icon in the button. Just plain stupid.

What's the deal with people being fingerprinted? I'm not giving my fingerprint to Best Buy.
I traded 2 p6 in the store, no fingerprints needed. Actually, I traded many phones in the store, Bestbuy never asked for my fingerprints. 🤔

Picked up in store my online order and gave them P6. They told me I will get refund credit card. But didn't gave any receipt.

I don't know of anything you can do about the toggle button sizes. I was just pointing out a single motion option for bringing down the menu since you suggested that swiping down twice was necessary. It's not.

I had to be fingerprinted in California. Which state are you in?

Someone mentioned earlier that FL and CA stores need fingerprinting.

If you paid with Paypal you'll get a notification from them immediately. If you paid with a card it'll take a few days to show up minimum. You can find proof of the promotional amount applied in the final price of the item itself in your Best Buy purchase. i.e. the price will be the total price minus the trade-in value minus the promotional value.

I traded in an iPhone 11 and the total price for a 7 came to $118 after tax, and that's what it says on my order page. It hasn't shown up on my card but it has for many others who have done the trade-in on a card.

For my PayPal transactions I received it almost immediately back to PayPal and then it posted to my card within a couple days.

My personal take here is that:

1. Best Buy really needs to clarify this process on the documentation when you make the trade-in. There have been tons of questions about only seeing the normal trade-in value on the receipt ($190 for the iphone 11 as an example) and wondering if they'll receive the $300 promotional value.

2. Using PayPal provides some assurance that you did indeed get the promo value because it shows up directly on PayPal right after the transaction is complete.

For one last time before they kill the TIVs which I believe is Sunday I thought I would buy another P7 but everything is now OOS including the Obsidian or at least not any near 50 mile radius for me. I definitely don't wanna do shipping. I should've pulled the trigger on that color when they had it in stock. I was more focused on getting one for myself and missed to realize this is also a great MM.

I dont think I'm ever going to get the shipping kit for my trade ins. I did bb.com chat and they said I can go to a store to do the trade in. I also emailed Hyla but no response. At the store they say I have to mail them in. So annoyed and too busy with work and kids to figure this out.

I have another P7 on order for store pickup. I dont know why but the pick up date is Nov 2, three weeks after I ordered. Maybe I should pick that one up and see if they let me do the trade in at the store.
