- The $100 gift card is now included with the Pixel 7 in Snow, as of October 11.

Trade-in value notes:
- In states CA (please add more), tax is charged on (price - TIV_promo).
- In states NJ, NY, tax is charged on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal).
- NJ: When I did an in-store pickup of an online-order, tax was automatically calculated on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal). But when I did an in-store purchasing today, tax was calculated on (price - TIV_promo). According to the representative, this is because TIV_normal is processes as a GC and it has to be applied after the checkout, so the tax is charged on that part. Don't know if this is all true to CA or other states.

- I've done in-store trade-ins a few times at Best Buy. They only do a cursory look at the phone, to make sure it matches the color and condition. They don't care if it is carrier locked or is still being financed. -RonaldM

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

I was looking forward to trading my Pixel 6 for the Pixel 7 Pro, but after problems with BB trade in (maybe a blessing in disguise as it turns out) the overheating, stuttering, scrolling, and camera issues people are reporting are the ones that have given me pause. Even without the problems, the camera on the Pixel 7 Pro doesn't seem to offer much improvement over my Pixel 6. Not much difference between the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 7...main difference is Tensor 2 chip, and I wonder if many of these problems with the Pixel 7's are going to involve the Tensor 2 having shortcomings or being a faulty chip.

And do you have any workarounds for the stupid oversized buttons that have text as well as the icon? I don't need a "Bluetooth" label right next to a Bluetooth icon in the button. Just plain stupid.

Someone mentioned earlier that FL and CA stores need fingerprinting.
I traded in an iPhone 11 and the total price for a 7 came to $118 after tax, and that's what it says on my order page. It hasn't shown up on my card but it has for many others who have done the trade-in on a card.
For my PayPal transactions I received it almost immediately back to PayPal and then it posted to my card within a couple days.
My personal take here is that:
1. Best Buy really needs to clarify this process on the documentation when you make the trade-in. There have been tons of questions about only seeing the normal trade-in value on the receipt ($190 for the iphone 11 as an example) and wondering if they'll receive the $300 promotional value.
2. Using PayPal provides some assurance that you did indeed get the promo value because it shows up directly on PayPal right after the transaction is complete.

I have another P7 on order for store pickup. I dont know why but the pick up date is Nov 2, three weeks after I ordered. Maybe I should pick that one up and see if they let me do the trade in at the store.
