Same thing happened to me. I ended up getting a refund and bought it from Cdkeys.com for like $1 more with no hassle.
I wonder if the steam key is country locked. The seller probably doesnt want to have to deal key returns if you are from a non-approved country. Thats probably why they are asking for some proof of location.
Loved this game. I really didn't think it was in my normal wheelhouse, I'm not usually into zombie/horrir-ish games, but so many great elements, felt different than a lot of other recent games. Definitely think people should give it a try.
Not worth getting, even at this price point. I enjoyed the bike mechanics and gameplay, but the story and characters are so trash. It's like it was written for 12 year old kids. Play TLOU games, that's a fantastic zombie experience.
There seems to be a weird rivalry between fans of both games which I don't really understand.
Can confirm- loved this game overall despite some minor flaws. The horde gameplay is unparalleled today by any game, graphics are really swell, and biking is great.
I almost got through the whole game a 2nd time on my PC but the unskippable cutscenes were getting to be too much.
Still a very worthwhile purchase from my viewpoint, but different people like different things and this game may not fit your interests.
Yea same here as far as loving the game. I'm ya not for everyone. But a great game. And I'm sure most wouldn't call it trash. Like battlefield 2042 lol. I want to play on pc. But the ps5 version looks great. So I'll do that for my second run through
With all of the personal info that the seller was asking for I canceled everything and left their site. You can pick the game up on CDKeys for a few dollars more and they do not get intrusive.
I used PayPal, no way I was giving them my credit card. And no I'm definitely it sending them a non descript pic of anything because they want to know my "whereabouts". What type of verification is that?
it doesn't have anything to do with your "whereabouts". It could be anything from anywhere with a recent date on it. But it's ok. Your money, your choice.

They should have that info from the payment method. If that is the issue, they could disclaim that before the purchase and any returns for such reasons as living in the wrong country could be grounds for no refund.

You'd have a point if the request from the seller didn't use the exact phrase "your whereabouts"

Both are excellent games in their own right.
