Been keeping an eye on these - https://www.amazon.com/ELAC-4-Pas...B08W9B2DB
Think they were about $68, which is criminal. Can't believe I missed out. I wouldn't hold my breath for that price, but for me if they go under $80-85 I'd probably bite.
Impedance: 4 ohms
Better have a stout amp if you want to listen to these at loud levels in a medium to large room.
If we look at the driver, the bs22 actually has a slightly more expensive woofer, textured surface.
but in the end, it's andrew jones, and it has the andrew jones signature sound. they're clearly made by the same oem, so no quality issues there. in interviews andrew jones says he always uses that oem because he knows them well for consistency/quality.
definitely waiting for them to come back on sale. I just don't see the point of debuts or uni-fi for small rooms at $250.

most amps are designed to handle them because it's so common. the ratings are seldom accurate, with "andrew jones" at the helm they're accurate.

I don't know I'd say "most amps are designed to handle them". What are "most amps"? Amps can range from the tiny desktop D-class amps to huge class A monoblocks.
