Well, you're on a SD page advertising the sale of a gateway machine. So what do you think?

Bought this as well for parents. Not bad for the price especially if you hook it up with an external monitor, keyboard and mouse. The trackpad felt cheap and annoying to use.

Personally I am partial to Thinkpads something like a t480 or e480 with FHD screen
Thank you for this recommendation. I'll look into those.

I was also apprehensive about whether the $329 laptop was really 4lbs per description on Walmart website. I went ahead and ordered anyway just to validate on my end. It weighs 3lbs 10.1 oz = 3.63lbs (See attachment photo)

For those complaining that the price went back up to $379, I still see it as $329 as of right now (1:03pm ET) on Walmart for all 4 colors...
It went up to $379 for like a day and then back down to $329. Think it was due to stock limitations.

It's amazing how much this brand has changed over the years. It's a little surprising they're still around.

I liked it, but the reviews scared me.
I have this exact machine but in black color that I paid closer to full price this summer. I really wish I did not buy it.

I know many likely had success with it, but I had a webcam issue and a dead pixel on the screen, then I exchanged it. The second was better but has issues with touchpad not always recognizing my finger and the cursor "jumps" on the screen.

Tech support feels non existent. Nice specs but don't let it fool you.

Now you can get the 15" model for only $300. Increase the TDP in bios for double performance. They have four color options. The 14" model is $280.

Got the blue one and the color isn't as bad as the picture makes it out to be. The blue is darker in person so it doesn't look like a kid's toy.

Sound is pretty awful and at higher volumes it makes those cracking distortions. It's tuned by THX but they must have been drunk because it sounds pretty terrible.

Display has backlight bleeding in corners but I guess that comes within this price territory.

Trackpad is a fingerprint magnet unfortunately and the clicks are pretty loud.

Other than those negatives though, everything else seems pretty good. Very snappy and responsive. The specs are very good for the price so hopefully the hardware lasts.
