I bought 2 pixel phones ( 6 and 7) but never opened it... They are just too boring and not interesting..
Then why did you buy them? Sounds like it's you who's the real problem.

Does your 7 get very warm easily? Mine does that especially when using cellular data like doing speed test. My 4a 5g never gets as warm as 7. The plus side is 5g speed improves by a large number. P7 5g speed is above 100 Mbps when I'm home. My 4a 5g speed never goes above 50 Mbps at home. P7 top speed I've experienced is around 800 Mbps (down).
No, it hasn't been warm. But I haven't done a speed test. I'm not a heavy user. Overall very happy with the 7 and the deal. I traded in my 6 at Best Buy for 480 TIV, total cost with tax $146. And a $100 BB gift card.

Two naive questions:

1. Do you have to submit your TI phone at BB at the time of the trade or can you do it later (after transferring the data)?

2. Any initial impressions on reception for P7/P7P , especially compared to P6P?

Did anyone's trade in Kit get delivered to Google WITHOUT a destination scan?
This has been my final tracking for the past 5 days.

Just got mine today. Everything's great except the fingerprint sensor, which doesn't work 99% of the time. How did they screw this up?!
Did you turn on "Screen Protector Mode"? Look in the settings (use search). The option to turn it on is described as "increase touch sensitivity and improve touch when using a screen protector". See if that helps.

Nice argument, but sorry, resale value matters if you want to stay current with flagship phones each generation or so without taking a big hit financially. I think people are foolish if they don't take that into account when buying a phone, and that seems like the real sad experience when others like you either try to trivialize it or don't even take that into account at all.
Way to show that you didn't even read my post. I said all of that, and you still discounted my main point that continuing to use anything if you don't like it or if it doesn't work for you doesn't make sense. You're still putting future resale value above everything else, which is fine for you, but think this should apply to everyone.

If I had S21 Ultra and was unhappy with it or hated it. Should I keep using it for a year just so I can upgrade to the next flagship S22 Ultra? And when I have that (as I do now), continue to use it when I think it's completely underwhelming and doesn't work well for me? So I can, what, upgrade to the S23 U? And so on and so on? No thanks.

You're trying to convince everyone to buy and deal with an oversized, powerful, roomy, gas guzzling SUV just so they can later trade it in for the same of another - when maybe all they want is a fast, fuel efficient sedan. Like I said, you do you. Clearly you aren't making the money you want selling these Pixels, so why are you still hanging around thread crapping?

Yep. It made no difference at all.

Anyone sent in the trade in that WAS NOT in the box they sent and was accepted without a problem? The box is small so I'm thinking of putting that in a bigger box to minimize chances of loss/misdirect.

Not a contradiction. Resale value of Pixel 7 has tanked already and will tank further rapidly. This one-off promo with inflated TIVs doesn't change that, just provides those with old phones to buy a P7 for less. But the street value of that P7 is going to be low and only get lower regardless.
It's 2022. Only an idiot is concerned with staying current every year. The days of major yearly innovations and performance leaps are over. They have been for several years now.

Further, given your (faulty) premise, you should really be concerned with trade in values, not resale value. Consider that a 2 year old pixel 5a, right now, is worth $800 trade in credit at at&t, and still several hundred at other places. If your goal is to mindlessly keep up every year, that's where your concern should be.

So one can trade in a S9 for $250, but not a S8. I happen to own a S8, SAD!

Both with and without a screen protector. By contrast, my Samsung Galaxy s20fe has never once had a problem with the sensor, even with a glass screen protector. Google is sending me a replacement, but honestly I might just return the phone for a refund. It's a nice device, but it's really not much of an upgrade.
Did you make any decision to keep or return it, depending if your issue goes away with the replacement? We have a couple S20 FE 5Gs and I'm on the fence about moving to a couple Pixel 7s. ~$244/per to upgrade seems like a decent deal, not sure.

Google is sending me a new unit, so I guess we'll see. I do like the pixel 7, but I'd be lying if I said it was a big upgrade. It doesn't feel any faster than my GS20fe5g. The offline speech recognition stuff seems to work well in the limited testing I've done.

If the next unit has no problem with the fingerprint sensor I'll probably keep it. If it does, then it and its predecessor will go right back to Google and I'll just keep riding the s20fe for another year. Only really reason I am trying to upgrade is to take advantage of the $390 trade in credit and bump to 256gb.

Because they are selling these phones cheap and I figured will use it as trade-in..
Problem, if someone like me can influence and create problem, then the problem lies with people like you who have no clue what phone to buy

But you were complaining the phone is boring, if you use it to trade in why would you care?
Anyway iPhone 11 (refurbished) is much better phone to buy for trade in also s22..
I will never buy extra pixel 7 for trade in because both Samsung and Apple wont give it decent trade in value (unless you plan to trade in 1 year from now fort Pixel 8)

Really Not sure who has no clue hereLMAO
