Anyone sent in the trade in that WAS NOT in the box they sent and was accepted without a problem? The box is small so I'm thinking of putting that in a bigger box to minimize chances of loss/misdirect.
You are asking for trouble.. Good luck

Because they are selling these phones cheap and I figured will use it as trade-in..
Problem, if someone like me can influence and create problem, then the problem lies with people like you who have no clue what phone to buy
I know exactly what phone to buy. I also know that upgrading yearly is stupid at this point. Also, spending hundreds on a phone you won't use in hopes of using it as eventual trade in credit is pretty stupid, too.

What is the likelihood these trade in values (Pixels specifically) will be the same come Black Friday?

Did you turn on "Screen Protector Mode"? Look in the settings (use search). The option to turn it on is described as "increase touch sensitivity and improve touch when using a screen protector". See if that helps.

Way to show that you didn't even read my post. I said all of that, and you still discounted my main point that continuing to use anything if you don't like it or if it doesn't work for you doesn't make sense. You're still putting future resale value above everything else, which is fine for you, but think this should apply to everyone.

If I had S21 Ultra and was unhappy with it or hated it. Should I keep using it for a year just so I can upgrade to the next flagship S22 Ultra? And when I have that (as I do now), continue to use it when I think it's completely underwhelming and doesn't work well for me? So I can, what, upgrade to the S23 U? And so on and so on? No thanks.

You're trying to convince everyone to buy and deal with an oversized, powerful, roomy, gas guzzling SUV just so they can later trade it in for the same of another - when maybe all they want is a fast, fuel efficient sedan. Like I said, you do you. Clearly you aren't making the money you want selling these Pixels, so why are you still hanging around thread crapping?
Well, nice try, but I have not actually bought a Pixel 7, so nothing to lose money on reselling. I was here discussing if it was worth buying to resell. For me, obviously I have decided that it is not since nobody actually wants it other than those doing these inflated trade deals like yourself. Other than the camera, the Pixel is a wannabe phone with flagship pricing. Sorry if you're a Pixel fanboy, but that is the truth. It will never be the same class or popularity as the iPhone or Ultra. Hence the rapidly tanking street value.

BTW, I'm free to state my opinion as are you. If you don't like it, just block me or don't read my posts. No need to get butthurt because I disagree with you. It's called debate and discussion. Which is why I was stating that ignoring or diminishing the importance of resale value before purchasing a phone, car, home, or anything of value is just plain dumb. But as you say, you do you. Enjoy your Pixel 7. LOL.

well, let me turn that around and say unless you're a completely clueless idiot, one can typically upgrade one's phone yearly for free (or even get paid to do so), as well as flip extra phones for nice profit by doing yearly upgrade deals. A lot of us here have been doing it for years. But don't let that stop you from sharing your clueless opinion.
Oh I know you can, I've done it myself. I also know the margin is thin reselling phones in the vast majority of cases. It's usually not worth the effort and upfront cost.

The box is fine but the envelope/pouch is too small. I'm afraid my phone will get damaged or scratched on its way there and lose its max TIV. I plan to add a bit more bubble wrap to protect it. I just hope it fits.

Correct, there are no gift cards with this deal. Money will be refunded back as credit on the same credit card used to purchase after phone is received and verified.
Where is it mentioned that "refunded will be back as credit on the same credit card used to purchase". I don't see it anywhere and when reached out to support after 4 days they replied that "You'll receive the remaining difference of the trade-in value will be credited into your Google Store credits account"

I think there have been several that have traded in mvno carrier models without issue. Also, Best Buy deal is good until 11:59 PST 10/23.

Trade-in values vary based on eligibility, condition, year, and configuration of your trade-in device, and are subject to change upon inspection. Credit card refund only available if a Pixel phone is purchased on that card. Phone trade-in credit will be issued as a refund back on the credit card used for the phone purchase at Google Store or in the form of Store Credit if the purchased phone has already been returned. Refund is based on (and paid after) phone received matching the description provided at time of estimate and will be issued to form of payment used for order. Phones sent for trade-in must be received within 30 days of initiation of trade-in process, provided the purchased device has not been returned during that time. Additional trade-in and store credit terms are located here.

What if you are on Google store Credit for 2 years 0% financing for a Pixel 6 Pro and trade it in while you still owe 500 on it? How does that translate to doing a 2 years 0% financing on a 7 pro? Will the monthly payment be adjusted to be spread out over 24 months adjusted after the 600 trade in credit?
