Because it's a terrible projector. It never competed with anything in the $1000 price bracket. And I still wouldnt buy it at this price, it's so bad.
Dude, it's a deal thread. Chill. You act like the freestyle killed your family and you've gotta save others from the same fate.

I see many hatred comments and not very helpful information. I have used this projector for sometime until I replaced it with Samsung laser projector,
1. It's 1080p projector that sold for $600~ most of the time. It's expensive for full HD projector at this price too, but for $400, it's on par with less branded ones
2. Audio is quite good, we used it in the loft with plenty of sound to fill
3. We did not notice heating issue, we used it probably 3hrs a day max
4. We only used it in the night time, it's 550 lumes isn't bright enough for day light
All in all, it was good projector for the little time we used it, but laser projector has been game changing experience, I would never go back to 1080p projectors

Reviews are terrible, its been free falling for months, tbh there are probably better projectors for less, the only thing this has going for it is a swivel.

Even with the bad reviews, does anyone think this is worth getting if it ever gets below $300? Or with the battery included?
No, I've read the app/ui it uses is barely functional, speaker is blehh, image quality is bleh, serious overheating issues, just overall nothing going for it. I wanted one really really bad, but I couldn't justify how bad the reviews are. Keep in mind they wanted to sell this for over 1k... When a Samsung product dips below 50%, not because there's a new model, you know it has issues

I wonder if anything changed since those bad reviews came out, like new firmware improvements etc.
