Hoping the pros go on sale. I had the 1st gen air pods and they were fine m. I tried my friend's pros for a week. They were much better for working and the noise canceling was helping for travel.

Both gen 1 and gen 2 of the Pros are the suction type (various tip connections to fit ear shape / size).
I too dislike them, but they are an almost completely necessary evil for proper NC which the Pros have.

I am thinking about stocking up on AirPod gen 2 when the price goes a bit lower.
I tried the AirPod gen 3 and they didn't fit as well in my ears (would fall out with moderate jostling).

Thanks. I had bought these (below) as they were cheap and on sale. Don't love the inner ear part — and also— everyone says I sound HORRIBLE on the phone.

So that's the two things I care about. Comfort and being able to use the phone well.
