SIgned up for the 60k offer literally just 4 weeks ago. Called Chase just now and the rep told me they can't change the offer since it's based on account opening date....
Any other experiences trying to get the higher offer?
I'm in the process of trying to get this approved as well. Have written back a few times and mentioned that other people I know have gotten the 20k extra bonus recently.
I wouldn't wait. If I have a good credit and income I would apply with 30days as all the credit pulls within 30 days period counts as one hit
Stop spreading misinformation.. Your statement is only true when shopping for rates on mortgages, auto loans, and student loans. Credit card applications are treated differently and hard pulls are counted every time u apply.
Again, 80K points is roughly $800. But there's a $550 annual fee, effectively making this a $250 credit deal.
How is this slick?
80k points is more like $1,200 because this card gives you a 1.5 multiplier. The $300 travel credit is nearly as good as cash. So really the annual fee you're looking at before taking anything else into account is $250.
do you get the doordash and instacart sub every year or just the first year? Do these perks get replaced by other thigs or is it really just another way to incentivize to get you to sign up for the card?
Is this a massive troll post? How is 80,000 points but $550 annual fee a slickdeal? You literally start with a $550 balance like the above poster says. That's equal to roughly 20,000 points in redeemable bonus.
What am I missing here?
It's the 2nd highest public points offering for the CSR in it's ~7 year lifetime. It's also arguably one of the best travel rewards cards on the planet. See below for more...

If your goal is to redeem for cash back then a travel card is most likely NOT for you.
That said, if you use those 80,000 points to book travel it's worth $1,200 guaranteed.
If you transfer those same points to a partner you can get more value.
The annual fee is effectively $250 (550 - 300 travel credit). And there are other benefits which help offset the cost.
But again if you won't be utilizing the cards benefits, then this isn't a card for you.

If you're redeeming your CC points for cash, then you're not using it to it's slickest potential.
1) A free $250 is still more than you save on most deals on this site
2) Even if you want to do a pay for your purchase or redeem in the travel portal rather cash back you'd get 1.5x so it would be worth $1,200 not even accounting for the extras. Sticking to the cash-like only perk you get $300 travel credit so you're already at $1,500 value simple for using it like cash.
3) You should really look into travel points redemption. Last summer I used about 22k points to fly economy on flight to Europe that would've cost me about $600. On the way back I spend 41k on business class back on a flight that would've cost me $4k (last minute travel, more likely $2k if planned). So for the points offered here I could easily get ~$2500-exponetially more value.

If you don't mind me asking, which airline did you fly and where in Europe did you go to? 41k points for business class does sound like a sweet deal.

The business class was Air France from Naples to DC but they also had it for most of Italy and also to JFK. It was a little more, I think 55k but there was a Chase transfer bonus happening at the time.
If you're still interested, I can confirm that buying credits through United TravelBank should trigger the Amex Platinum $200 travel reimbursement. I tested by purchasing $100 last week, and I now see a $100 credit in my Amex online account. I'm gonna go ahead with another $100 TB purchase to max out for this year.

You also get $300 in travel credit so there's that. Plus a few other things like TSA Precheck/global entry and airport lounges.

That makes this deal not so slick after all. 100k pts might be worth considering
