I ordered this luggage before the thread was posted because I think it is a good deal. The luggage seems pretty sturdy and the weight is 10.3lbs. I actually weighed it myself using the travel scale, pretty light for it size. I've used few Samsonite and I never have any problem with it, so hopefully this one will last. The color doesn't look as bad as the picture, I was kind of concern about the color before I bought too.

Download Keepa to show the price history on things like this. It is not really that much of a slickdeal it was $123 a bit ago and normally goes for $145ish.

Lowest price I've personally seen for large polycarbonate luggage by about $40. Polycarbonate is personally my favorite material for luggage. If you're confused by what you want here is what I would go by -

Soft case (fabric) - Pretty much unbreakable but CAN be crushed. Cheapest.
ABS Plastic - Most lightweight. Very dense but can crack.
Polycarbonate - More durable than ABS (cracks less easily but can be dented or crushed). Heavy. Expensive.

I'm biased towards polycarbonate but I will admit the added strength only really matters if someone else is handling your luggage (flights for example).

Have had this for over 5 years and have done several international trips to destinations with a rather poor baggage handling record. Has taken all the beating and still functions great. The best luggage I own - I like it better than the Winfield, Centric and Freeform all of which i also own. Feels sturdy and can take 50 lbs easily.

I had a 2+ year stretch of traveling overseas every month, entailing multiple flights each way...so lots of travel, lots of different airlines and people handling my luggage, etc..., and I had the 3-piece version of this. Long story short, it's been great! Unlike cheaper luggage that looks nice but made of ABS, this is polycarbonate, which is what you want for durability. Mine has some scratches and wear, but everything still works on all 3 pieces. I would definitely recommend this, and consider the 3 piece. This deal aside, I'd also recommend considering a more unique color so you can find your luggage easier, and I'd also recommending buying packing cubes for better interior management.

I got a three-piece of this model in another color on an earlier deal in June. Held up well on our three-week, six country European adventure this summer. Probably would have been better to get two of these monsters than the three piece because nesting makes the other ones need to be much smaller. It was $249 for the three-piece back then. They are BIG.

Good price. Can't miss it on the belt. Durable - holds 50lbs no prob. Um yeah it's gonna scratch unless you wrap in Saran for every trip
You were able to get under 50 lbs using this 28" luggage? I'm wondering if the large is just a bit too large to get it under 50 lbs.

Does anyone know where to find replacement wheels for this luggage? I have one that's 3 years old and one of the wheels wore off unevenly. Would really love to just replace the wheels as the rest of the luggage is good.

Owned one for several years and flown on several trips. No issues except it is REALLY EASY to get this packed over 50lbs.

While you're right it's not TOO heavy, a lot of airlines are going to 40lbs for checked bags. This comes in at over 25% of your allowed weight. Pretty big percentage if you're not a frequent traveler and weight means more than durability. Just another side of the coin.
I thought it was 50 lbs??

I currently have the 3 of them and hold pretty well, the carry on broke a wheel under the warranty it was replaced for a new one. But i also have the double spinner wheel model, which for carry on i feel is way better.

So for better mobility specially over carpet and fast pace at the airport. Double wheel.

Trust me 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Any spinner with only 1 weel per corner is a no-go. They tip over too easily, especially on carpet.

There have been a couple of deals on three piece sets from samsonite 100% polycarbonate. I just got the Winfield 3 and the 28" is heavy. Much heavier then they advertised clocking in at 11.8 lbs.

Still waiting delivery on the Omni 2 to compare.
