Avoid this phone like a plague. While the phone is great while it works and so is the camera, I constantly have issues with dropped calls and incoming calls going straight to voice mail … I didn't believe the reviews about bad reception and still bought it and now I am outside of the return window

The description clearly says "Unlocked". What reviews are you referring to?

Its works but its credit after you placed the order. Not discount instantly. Credit could use to buy another phone or accessories
yep the 6a, 7, and 7 pro...they are sending people like me a code and then I can give it to someone

then Google sends me $100 and they get that $100 off

but the they offer me another code, up to 10

Email says you can refer 10 friends while the fine print refers to it as a single use code.
"Give $100. Get $100.
Know someone who would love a Pixel too?

You and a friend will both get a $100 Google Store credit if they buy a Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, or Pixel 7 Pro with the code below.1

You can refer up to 10 friends for a total of $1,000 in credit.

<code witheld , slickdeals policy>"
Fineprint:
"
Refer a friend to purchase Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro from Google Store using the single use, referral code provided in this email, and both you (i.e. Code giver) and your friend who uses the code (i.e. Code user) will get a $100 promotional code later by email. Referral code must be used by June 30, 2023 or it will expire. To redeem the referral code, the code user should visit store.google.com, sign-in with their Google account credentials, add a Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro to their cart, and enter the referral code as a promo code during checkout.

Referral codes may be redeemed only on Google Store for eligible items as allowed by applicable laws. Code users who checkout as guests are ineligible to receive the $100 promotional code. Code users must have Google Pay profiles registered to the country where purchase was made in order for the promotional codes to be issued to the Code user and Code giver, and once issued will be in the currency of the country where purchase was made. The promotional code can only be used in the country of purchase. Limit 10 referral codes per Code giver, 1 Code user per referral code. Offer isn't valid if the eligible device (or any part of the order) is returned. Code giver and Code user will receive an email with the promotional code within 8-10 weeks after the end of the promotion. It's non‑transferable, and not valid for cash or a cash equivalent. Shipping charges may apply at checkout. Void where prohibited.

To redeem your promotional code, visit store.google.com, add the desired device to your cart, enter the promotional code during checkout to receive a $100 discount for purchase of any device on Google Store. $100 discount will be applied at checkout. Wait..are you getting individual NEW codes for each referral? I've sent the same one to multiple friends. Never saw a second referral code after the first one was redeemed.

No I'm aware, I was also sent the email with a code. What I'm asking is: Are there 10 different codes or 1 code to send out 10 times? I tried doing the latter and my code no longer works for no specific reason.

Yes they sent me another code after the first one was redeemed from my wife's account. So it will be 10 different codes.

Oh wow what the hell? I don't feel like they made that clear in the email at all. Sending you a DM real quick.

This is an excellent deal. $299 for a very competent phone.
I have the Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a and Pixel 7.
Out of these, I reach out for the Pixel 6a the most - as it has the perfect size. It's also very snappy and doesn't have the FP reader problems of Pixel 6.

Highly recommend this deal. Please be aware that the $299 is ONLY valid till Nov 7th.

Totally, and just fyi the easiest trade-in route here, if you wanted to put a little effort in, is buying a reconditioned iphone xr from Straight Talk for $100+$35 plan (1 month) for $135+tax. Then trading it in to google for $410 in credit, then using someone's promo (friend, family, whoever) to get the $100 credit.

You'd be looking at:

Pixel 7 price: $599
iPhone XR price: $135
iPhone XR trade-in: -$410
Google store credit: -$100

All in cost there is like $225+tax for the 7. 7 Pro obviously comes out to more but you get the gist.
Anybody have some input on the OP deal for the 6a at $299 vs. jumping through some minor hoops to get the 7 for $324 + tax per the instructions above? (I would never use a future $100 Google store credit so I am eliminating that from the equation)

Seems pretty straightforward to me. Is the 7 worth $25 more than the 6a? The answer is a resounding yes, but if your time is super valuable it may not be worth jumping through those hoops.

Thanks for the input. And just to be clear - the trade-in gets credited back to a credit card, right? That part is not a Google store credit?

Damn the pricing plummets like rock. Google wants all your data.
Well he is correct. However Pixel 7 and 7 Pro came out. That's Why it dropped. I would get one for GrapheneOS though, very private.
Ironically Google makes one of the most secure phones with this OS.

Correct, it'll go back to your original payment method. I've done like 7 trade-ins there and they all worked that way.

Yes, the trade-in credit gets credited back to your original payment source (credit card, debit card, PayPal, etc.).

If I'm not mistaken, *if* there is some sort of problem, with regards to them refunding the trade-in credit back to your credit/debit card, then, they will give you Google Store credit. Otherwise, the trade-in credit is refunded to whichever payment method that you used to buy the phone.
