Prices have come down a little so now you can get a 1tb for about this price ordering from eBay and having it ship from China or HK, but you're likely better off with the 6year inland warranty if you're lucky enough to live near a microcenter
I timed a half dozen of the larger apps, and launch-to-in-game times were only 2-3 seconds difference for most of the games.
There are only a couple multiplayer games where two to three seconds makes any difference at all, so I just keep those on the deck's internal 512 GB ssd.
After seeing it real world, I honestly don't think anyone actually needs to upgrade the SSD.
