Considering that this is about 40 bucks less than what I paid for a 1660 Super in May 2020, this is a steal. Shame it's Newegg though

I bet it'll be under $200 without rebate next week after the rebate period ends (10/31).

The AMB GPUs are softening in price much more than the NVIDIA prices, at least what I've observed on the low and low-mid ends. The NVIDIA cards don't look competitive at current prices. I can't understand why that is happening.

I have been on my GTX 970 since 14, I just upgraded to a Sapphire 6800 XT and man it was worth the wait !

I'm glad I went with a full AMD build this time with the 6800 XT and the 5800X. Paired with a new X32 monitor, it's outrageous

How does the 6800xt run games at 1440p? Looking for a graphics card to make use of a higher refresh rate monitor (>100hz) and rx 6800 xt is on my radar. Thanks!

The Sapphire 6600 for $220 is the LITE model with only 2 outputs, versus this which has 4 outputs.

Personally, I have a 100% success rate with Newegg rebates (I've done about a hundred). And I prefer MSI over Sapphire. So I'd go with the OP deal. If someone is willing to pay $10 more for Sapphire, or values paying $10 more to avoid the rebate, then your deal is better.

EDIT: The post above mine pointed out they're not the same cards.

People keep bootlicking NVIDIA thinking the performance difference is there when a 6800 is better than a 3070 and cheaper

Imagine telling yourself in 2014 that you wouldn't be able to reasonably buy another GPU for the next 8 years. That would have sounded insane. My usual cadence was a new GPU every 2-3 years for the previous 15 years before that. But looking at my own setup...yup, bought my last GPU in 2016 so 6 years for me. It's insane just how expensive GPUs have been for the last 4-5 years.

I saw this and wondering whether Nvidia will ever need to lower prices.

Newegg [newegg.com] has the MSI Radeon RX 6600 8gb for $279.99 - $50 promo code GW5BX25339 and $20 MIR [newegg.com] for $209.99

8GB 128-Bit GDDR6
Boost Clock 2491 MHz
1 x HDMI 2.1 3 x DisplayPort 1.4
1792 Stream Processors
PCI Express 4.0
Dropped another $10. Now $269.99 - $50 = $219.99 before $20 rebate. After rebate, it would be $199.99.
