Why the thumbs down? For $176 it doesn't seem like a bad deal to me. An extra 8gb of RAM and it seems like a good basic home PC as long as you can live with the small hard drive capacity. Can install an extra storage drive if needed.

I have a question on BIOS update.

The PC came with BIOS version R01-A1. Here is the link for BIOS / Firmware download.

I installed version R01-A2/A3. I was trying to see if I need to install the firmware listed there

yeah, get the latest bios , check the date of bios, ... for me, if I check windows 10/11 update manager, it showed me optional updates and I saw Acer Firmware, and another Acer related update, and it put on the newest SAFE bios. Also ACER care app, also lists if you need to update your system. I prefer windows update center suggestions.

The latest is from June 2022, and so these threads have many people updating correctly. If in doubt look through the threads for helpful pointers.

Thanks. I updated all the BIOS versions all the way to R01-B0. Acer Care Center doesn't seem to update anything. I did everything manually. I installed intel DSA application and updated lan, bluetooth, etc., software versions.

Can someone please post a CrystalDiskMark result for the SSD that is in this PC. I have a feeling that they limited PCIe bandwidth to 1x on the M.2. connector - I only get 900MB/s read and 700MB/s write, when the WD drive is rated for at least twice that speed.

Can anyone please spare a few minutes if they have this PC to test their SSD drive speed?
