The construction of the device seems to be very solid (Sanwa parts, easy access). Do note that if you're using this on Xbox One, Series S|X, or PlayStation 4, you'll need to keep a corresponding controller (Xbox One/Series/PS4) plugged into the stick for authentication pass-through.

Switch, PC, and Android are supported out of the box. PS5 is not supported at all.

 It's Monoprice, so expect 80 or 90% of the quality, for 50% of the cost.

I like their stuff, especially when price is a factor.

Reviews about it on the net seem very positive. Sanwa stick and buttons. Customizable.

it's bad... but you can use it as a controller in MAME
So this pandora box controller can be as good as this monoprice one? Are the included games exact arcade versions?

I haven't seen that joystick type on any of the mass-produced units. I believe those joysticks are currently referred to as "LS-30" controllers. 20+ years ago, I had an original Heavy Barrel coin-op and IIRC the documentation, it was called a Jamma configuration.
I believe you can find the (SNK) LS-30 sticks out there, but they are primarily intended for people that DIY their own MAME cabinets / controllers.

Are these better then the Razer Panthera Evo at $100 each or the Razer Panthera Dragon ball z fighting stock? Anyone please chime in. Thanks.

I have a Mayflash F300 that I don't really like that much that has great reviews. So I don't know about reviews anymore.

Wish there was a standard. I have a Madcatz stick that won't work on current fighting games because its not supported.

I have one of the Mayflash F300 as well that I received as a gift. The stick and buttons are cheap. The case is made of plastic. It's kind of tall and has a smaller shaped base. The stick and buttons can be replaced with Sanwa for a better feel, but the shape and materials of the stick are subpar.

I've never touched one but this Monoprice one is probably better in every way. Aluminum alloy frame. Bigger base with a bigger footprint. Shorter height. The Sanwa joystick and buttons are the standard when it comes to Japanese joysticks and buttons.

The one thing the Mayflash has that I kind of like that this doesn't come with is the octo-gate for the stick. Having grown up playing in American arcades, I'm kind of a sucker for an octo-gate over the square gate. That said, I am 99% sure you could get an octo gate on its own if you wanted one, just plan on spending a little extra on the side.

Where are you finding the panthera evo's for $100 each? I'd probably prefer the panthera evo since it has PS support without hoking through a controller or dongle...

Tempting. If I had more $$$$ to burn, I'd be all over this. Nice that it has a turbo feature, I envy that.

I'll just keep using my homemade stick made with $20 diy kit. It's okay.

Why not get the AtGames Legends Mini which is around $50? Looks similar, plus that comes with it's own console and the controller is wireless.

Because of the Sanwa parts. You are comparing a Lexus to a Corolla.

You can get a converter from Brook, such as the Wingman XB, to make old sticks compatible with the Switch and Xbox Series S|X.

How about PC and PS5?

I started noticing this when I tried to play the power rangers fighter, Mad Catz went out of business so all their fight sticks/pads stopped being supported.

Most old USB-based arcade sticks are already compatible with PC, but the Wingman and the like can convert others to XInput for PC.

I'm not aware of any converters to make old sticks work on PS5.
