You can do a dummy booking and see the fees...or you can use googles ITA matrix
Another wrinkle is some airlines pass along fuel surcharges from partner bookings, and others don't.
For example if you booked Lufthansa first class with points, you'd get hit with an insane fuel charge from the airline (like north of $1500)... but if you book the same flight on the same airline- but through united as a partner award, you pay $0 fuel charge... (but the point cost might be higher)
Other airlines are even weirder- for example Air Canada has fuel surcharges on their own flights, but not SOME (but not all) partner airlines... likewise American only passes on surcharges from BA and Iberia but not anyone else- and they pass the full BA one along, but only part of the Iberia one.
This is part of why it's sometimes tricky to find which airline to book a flight with via points-- both the $ of points and the fees, can be quite different-- even for booking the same flight-- depending on which airline you book it though (and if it's a direct or partner booking).
1) So if i apply tonight how quick can i get the card to use for online purchases etc?
2) can my wife refer me if she's primary holder of Sapphire preferred or does she need the card I want already?...I'm guessing it's INK refers to INK right?
3) leaning towards the Ink Business Cash for rental property business...thoughts? good/bad?..need to renovate rental units and has been a mess co-mingling charges
Card taking a long time to come. But will it work if I do a balance transfer from another card? And if there a fee for new users? Or it doesn't matter if you new or not there will be a fee.

How long has it been?
I am planning on applying in late March so I can pay my property taxes and yearly insurance payments within the 90 days.
so i submitted my application just now...then stupidly realized I had frozen my credit with all 3 bureaus....I've now unfrozen then..should i just wait till they open monday to call, or is it ok to re-submit the application?

Since the 14th of this month. Haven't received the card so was thinking to do a balance Transfer if I have to pay before the card comes in.
You'll probably get it early next week.
I think that's how long it took to get the debit card for my checking account.
I would be curious whether they start your statement cycle on the 14th or when you activate.
Losing 14 days out of 90 is not trivial.

Yea I rarely make any large purchases so that's why I'm like, where is this card I need to start putting all my small stuff on it. Lol
