From what I understand, the torque model just gives you a countdown timer for battery life. This model and the animal just give you like 3 bars and you are guessing a bit. Otherwise identical beyond that.
Just ordered the V11 Complete deal from Walmart the other day. Worth returning for this instead? Looks like this one is missing the standing dock but has more tools instead?

In for 1, tried going through Dyson directly seeing if they can throw in something extra but they said no, and the price match process is a bit annoying. Skipped all that and ordered direct from Walmart, through the Dyson seller.
I want the torque drive whatever else would be good for hard floors + animals (grooming?) and also dock. Should I get this or wait on something else (or is there something else available now).

and the torque head? or does this come with something similar. new to dyson vacuums.

Does this come with both head for carpet and hard floor?
It comes with a multipurpose head that is "supposedly" for both - OK for tile floors but I wouldn't trust for hard wood. You really "need" a fluffy brush for that to insure you don't wear down the finish prematurely.

No significant difference from this and the torque drive besides what the other commenter mentioned about the countdown timer. I have both and the timer is a nice feature but for saving $100+ dollars I'd go with the extra model. From my findings, the real main difference between the animal, torque drive, extra, complete, and whatever other random names dyson assigns the models, it's usually the attachments. The core make up of vacuuming capabilities is entirely the same

From what I can see, the Extra does not have the floor docking station, but comes with several extra attachments that the complete does not come with. Such as the up-top adapter, extension hose, fabric and mattress tool.
It also looks like it has a different digital readout than the Complete.
EDIT: Per Dyson, the only difference is the tools that it comes with.

I ordered the Complete from Walmart and will end up returning it, as I don't need the floor dock and much prefer the wall mount dock.
