If these were the Japanese made ones, they changed to a Chinese manufacturer a few years back (2019?), this would be an awesome deal. But with how many bad reviews I see with the Chinese made ones I'd wait for a deal on either Energizer, Eneloop, or if you have a Ikea nearby their Lakka.

I don't know what went wrong or what Amazon's thinking. It was until they changed to black color (2018?) the whole quality went down. I remembered I was trying to get more. It really has nothing to do where it was made seriously.

Edit: the battery color was in white color some say gray I see white for both of my batches, China and Japan made.
