It was the same price in Google store. Worth mentioning, I got a coupon code to use on Google store for $10 after I bought google tv.

I got one of the original ones as well and haven't really had any problems with it. However, even before switching to Google TV from a fire TV stick I added another mesh point because my location from router is between two fire places. Once I did that it helped a lot.
I was wondering if this is a "new" 4K version or is the same as the original released version?

Not the experience I have. I carry this for traveling and have used them at multiple locations with varying wifi. Also use it to stream Apple TV Plus.

Are you using them for 4k content? The only time I have had problems is streaming high quality 4k content. It is a network bottleneck, not processing power. Media playing does not require much power at all.

The only thing I don't like about it is the remote. It is the slipperiest, most poorly designed remote I have ever used. It is either slipping out of my hand or I am pressing buttons I didn't intend to just picking it up.
