First impressions of them not all that great. They have a lil more bass than the Jamo S803 but other than that my ears don't hear anything different. The highs on the Jamo may be a bit more pronounced too, I like the v curve sound. Will test them for a few more days but right now it's looking like they'll be going back
Don't listen to the break-in myth. It's your ears that break in. If you want to actually test the break in myth, stop listening to them and let the KEF's play in some area for a good day at loud volume where you can't hear them. Continue to listen to your current speakers. Then go back to the KEF's to see if your opinion has changed. If a speaker changed due to break in so much that you could hear the change, it would be easily measurable.
you need to make sure they are broken in when doing a comparison. if you like the artificial / inaccurate V-shape tonality then they may not be right for you. KEF are well known for being very neutral and accurate. the KEF will have a much better build quality and MUCH higher quality internal components (open up your jamo and look at the cheap low quality crossovers they use)
I can definitely see/ feel the build quality difference. The Kefs are solid AF.
Where did you order from? If you buy from Crutchfield, it ships today.
Bought off Amazon since I get 5% CB, and I went ahead and paid a penny more to buy from KEF direct seller instead of Amazon as seller. Both showed delivery about a month away, but I figured Kef direct might be a touch faster so worth the extra penny. Just got notification it will be delivered tomorrow 👍

this is an area that most people don't consider when purchasing, yet it is really important. a cabinet that is more solidly built (More internal bracing, sturdier cabinet materials or additional dampening material) will have less resonance and produce a cleaner, more accurate sound.

That's cool, I bought mine from KEF Direct a few years ago. I also bought grilles as these speakers don't come with them automatically.

Lol. Quality control must have gone up. I had the previous model (Q100) and kept hearing this weird sound. Turns out the front baffle is just plastic and it wasn't seated completely into the wood cabinet when they glued it. There was a permanent gap along the top of the baffle that had air whistling through it. Lol. Yes...I returned them.
How does this compare vs. Advent Legacy? I really liked my old Advents and the newer speakers I have tried at the lower end just don't sound as pleasing to listen to music.
Got my pair from BestBuy for $275 as used excellent. They were obviously opened but looked in perfect condition. Simply stunning sound (my subjective opinion) for the price.

I think they're $20 each now.
