Blue Cash Preferred gets these. Annual fee = $95, but the groceries rewards = 6%. If you spend at least $2000 on groceries each year, it's more than worth it.
They would need to spend over $3167 in groceries each year to break even.
Probably not hard to do with a large family.

$3167 x 0.03 = $95.01
$3167 x 0.06 = $190.02

$2000 x 0.03 = $60
$2000 x 0.06 = $120
$120 - $60 = $60 < $95 annual fee

Is Costco an eligible merchant for 6%? Reward?

Interesting.

According to my 12 month grocery spending summary outside of Costco, I have spent:

$750 on groceries

$800 on (take out) foods and drinks

Edit: at Costco, it shows I have spent $920 on non gasoline purchase (not relevant here but was curious to see the amount as I do my shopping there)

I guess Amex is not for me as I can't come close to the break even point for the 6% cash back reward ?

You spend just $750 for groceries, where are you living?

Anyone know if we can mix in store and online?

I need a new modem which would be about $130 and then I have a God of War PS5 controller preordered which is $80. Will prob end up spending $40 on some games or something.
If your PS5 controller ships before 12/15, you'll be fine.

Not valid for e-gift card purchases. Excludes corporate gift card purchases.

Does that mean I can purchase a physical amazon gift card from best buy online and it would count?

Did their website change? You could order online with AmEx, unless that recently changed.

The last time I went into the Best Buy to buy gift cards, I was told only 3 gift cards.

So I was forced to buy 2x $100 and 1x $50 Amazon gift cards.
Can I buy physical gift card online?

Oh man, I bought that $200 Insignia massage chair deal (love it btw) a week or so ago that would have gotten me most of the way there. Can I do a return and rebuy WITHOUT dragging that thing to the store?

Costco ended their Amex partnership in 2016. It's been Visa ever since
