We're also at the infancy of DDR5. The kits today are going to be bargain bin level in 2 years. Remember the poor saps that paid $400 for 16gb of DDR4-3000 C15 in 2015 for their then new Haswell rigs?
EDIT: Went from over 20 to now only 8 in stock.
Update. Was even more convenient for lol
Don't plan on playing games so onboard video will be fine for productivity and youtube. UHD770 supports all the major codecs including av1.
12th gen supports:

Be careful with some of those cards in regular systems... I had a set recently cause conflicts with the BIOS and 1/3 of my RAM went missing. Turns out I had to disable a couple pins on the PCIe slot with kapton tape and then it was smooth sailing.
I'll wait on a 3080 or 3080 Ti to complete the build that'll be in a Smithsonian some day. Doumo Arigatou Gozaitashimashita, OP.
I also remove the BIOS from them so they boot faster, I always boot from onboard SATA on my machines. The last TrueNAS machine I built I used some old 16GB m.2 SATA cards on a bracket and used them for the boot drive. Worked pretty good since that OS only uses about 8-9GB. I also use two so I can mirror them since they are old drives, saved my bacon at least once already. Only pay $2 or so for each drive so that's fine with me.
