Ships and sold by Amazon and is prime. That should ship. This a deal though? Seems like its normal price isn't it?

I think the original price on Amazon is incorrect. I have been looking at similar models for a bit. Champion 4500 generators without remote start are generally $950 or so. This is a step up unless I missed something.

I ordered two of these just a few months ago for like $656 from Amazon. I canceled when I realized I might need 240v for my application.
So this price is probably legit as it shipped at an even cheaper price.

It was $656 for the unit alone, and like $700 for a unit + parallel kit.

I got it for home backup, and the electrician advised against using 120v, but I have since verified it should be safe/fine just as long as I turn off my 240v breakers. So I am tempted to buy again. I would prefer 2x 4500w units vs one large 9000w unit, runs quieter, have a backup in case one fails, and I do not need 9000w of power 24/7 use one overnight, and run both in the day when I want extra things turned on.

This will help with fuel consumption.

The main difference is that this one has electric and remote start. Probably not a big deal for home backup if it's not winter or is climate controlled. I got one for RVing. Looking forward starting it without leaving the camper.

Were you able to find any similar models with 220v split phase? I find it disappointing that none are available in this compact quiet invertor generator package.

No, I understand the 2000w stuff but nothing in this 4500w class. Well not that was an inverter and quiet. There are some like 6000w generators out there with 240v but not inverter and not parallel capable, so would not fit my use case.

My whole home 50A outlet is installed this week so I will be making a purchase soon. Good reviews on stuff like the Genmax and Predator stuff, black friday soon as well, so hopefully find a good deal.

The closest that I see to a 4500w 240v quiet inverter is a Genmax 5500 (Amazon) but it does not appear to be parallel capable. I also needed 240v and ended up with a Wen GN875i, which is an open frame inverter (7kw). Once I got it, I realized that it was louder than I would like to run through the night and would eat through fuel reserves quicker. I ended up buying a second generator - Westinghouse igen4500. My current strategy is to use the 240v Wen during the day for 240v tasks such as the grinder pump (sewer), water heating if needed, or any other large tasks. At night, I will switch to the quiet and fuel saving igen4500 to keep the refrigerator and bare necessities running. Having two generators also gives me some redundancy in case one were to fail.
