The employee who helped me said that the enhanced Trade-in values are offers FROM carriers THROUGH Best Buy, therefore they needed my T-Mobile account information. The employee was clearly wrong, as explained by others in this thread, who provided no carrier information and received full trade-in values for their phones.

I did, but only because the discount was on Activate Now. If you do Activate Later, you do not need to give any info.

All have to be done in store. As for data, it's best to do it at home before you go into the store, as it can take some time, but BB does allow you to do it right there.

This is YMMV. Some BB's will accept rough looking phones, as long as there are no cracks in the glass. Some won't take heavily scratched ones. I have traded in both.

Key thing is that glass cannot have any cracks whatsoever, on front or back.
